Founder - MSN, FNP-C, RN
Sarah Tiesing
Sarah Tiesing (MSN, FNP-C, RN) is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and founder of City Light DPC with over 20 years of healthcare experience in Cardiology, primary care, pediatrics, hospital medicine and post-acute care. She is board-certified with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and received her Master of Science degree in Nursing from the University of North Carolina, Chapel-Hill. She also enjoys speaking at both local and national professional conferences as a healthcare educator.
Through direct primary care (DPC), Sarah's goals for patient care include unhurried visits, thoughtful care, and transparent pricing—removing many of the barriers that make healthcare frustrating and impersonal. Sarah believes in a holistic approach to patient care that recognizes the physical, mental, and spiritual aspects of individual wellness. City Light DPC was founded as the culmination of her life’s work and passion, with a mission to provide holistic, high-quality, accessible, relationship-based primary care across the lifespan.
Outside of her clinical practice, Sarah values her faith in Jesus, family, and friendships above all else and most enjoys spending time outdoors and with all of the precious people in her life.

City Light Direct Primary Care was born out of the vision to meet the primary care healthcare need in our community. With rising health insurance premiums for patients and insurance pressures on providers, we seek to eliminate the insurance "middle man" and simply provide the care people need, how and when they need it. We believe in a holistic healthcare approach - identifying not just physical, but also mental and spiritual needs. Optional prayer ministry is available to all patients.
